LEAPER também conhecido como Leveraging Endogenous ADAR for Programmable Editing of RNA, que significa “alavancador ADAR endógeno para edição programável de ARN", é uma técnica de edição genética com grande potencial no tratamento de doenças. O LEAPER é semelhante ao CRISPR-Cas13 na sua capacidade de editar RNA em vez de DNA, mas os dois diferem em que Cas13 depende tanto de um RNA guia quanto da enzima Cas13 para manipular o RNA.
